I am excited to share The Aerospace Corporation’s Corporate Social Responsibility Report for 2022, which highlights the many ways our people are building curiosity, connections, and community to spark change and to make a difference.
Drawing on our experiences operating throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Aerospace continues to expand the scale and scope of our outreach, combining in-person engagements with digital tools to reach more people in more parts of the country than ever before.
True to our role as a connector and convener, this year Aerospace was central to the launch of Space Workforce 2030, an ambitious, industry-wide commitment made by CEOs at 30 space companies to work collaboratively to advance diversity and representation at all levels of our collective technical workforces. The effort also includes a pledge to work with universities to increase the number and diversity of aerospace engineering graduates, as well as to expand the reach of our STEM programs to even more K–12 students.
Building strong partnerships is critical to delivering on our mission for the nation’s space enterprise, and we apply that same approach to our work supporting our people and our communities. From the Smithsonian Institution to Science Olympiad to top universities and our military partners, we are proud to work with a growing constellation of organizations to introduce students to the wonders of space and the potential of STEM careers, helping inspire the curiosity and passion that will fuel them throughout their educational journeys.
Inside Aerospace, we remain focused on building an inclusive, world-class culture, including through robust mentorship programs that empower our people in their pursuit of innovative ideas and solutions. And through the work of our Employee Resource Groups, several of which are celebrating 50 years of dedicated service this year, Aerospace supports our people in their efforts to strengthen our company and their communities through fellowship and giving back.
I encourage you to read on to learn more about Aerospace’s impact shaping a diverse space workforce, building connections that strengthen our communities, and creating a thriving workplace culture for our people.
Sincerely,
Steve Isakowitz
